Service Eligibility

CHASR offers a limited number of grant writing support partnerships on a rolling basis. While we strive to support as many projects as possible, please understand that our intake process is selective, to ensure we can provide high-quality, timely service.

To be eligible, your grant proposal must meet the following criteria:

  • The total requested grant value must be $10,000 or more.
  • The deadline for grant submission must be no sooner than 1 month.
  • If funded, the project must include a contracted CHASR component with a minimum value of $5,000.
  • Only a limited number of grants can be supported at one time, based on staff capacity.
  • The lead applicant (Principal Investigator of project lead) will be expected to remain actively engaged throughout the proposal development.

Your Role in the Process

We view grant writing as a partnership. To make the most of this service, the lead applicant should:

  • Assemble the project team, gather CVs, secure letters of support, and complete budget items outside of CHASR’s scope.
  • Stay involved and responsive throughout the development process to ensure accuracy and alignment with your goals.
  • Submit the final application to the funding agency (or through your institution, if applicable).

Cost Information

To maintain sustainability while providing low-barrier support, CHASR has established the following tiered cost structure based on the length of your grant proposal

Proposal Length

Cost

1-4 pages

$1,500

5-9 pages

$2,000

10+ pages

$2,500

  • These costs represent a substantially reduced rate to our standard fees.
  • The length of your proposal should be estimated based on the full body of the narrative text, excluding budget tables and appendices.

Review and Selection Process

Each intake form is reviewed based on project fit, grant characteristics, and our current capacity. Submission of this intake form does not guarantee acceptance. Only a handful of partnerships can be active at one time.

  • If accepted, you will receive an email from a CHASR Research Manager outlining how to initiate the collaboration.
  • If not accepted (due to capacity limits or project misalignment), you may still engage CHASR for grant development support at our standard consulting rates.

Important Notes

No guarantee of funding: CHASR can help strengthen your proposal, but we cannot guarantee funding success.

Confidentiality: All project details are treated as confidential and are used solely for service assessment and grant development.
